Because every young mind deserves to blossom
Helping Neurodivergent Children Thrive Authentically
Growing up is full of joy, curiosity, and discovery—but it can also bring challenges, especially for neurodivergent children. Navigating school expectations, friendships, daily routines, and big emotions can feel overwhelming without the right support.
Occupational therapy helps children build the skills, confidence, and understanding they need to participate in everyday life with greater ease. My approach is neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based, focusing on understanding each child’s unique profile and supporting them in ways that honour who they are.
My name is Amy Hodges and I am a paediatric Occupational Therapist. I work with school-aged children, alongside their families and educators, to support meaningful participation at home, at school, and in the community.
Together, we may:
Understand a child’s sensory and regulation needs
Build emotional awareness and self-advocacy skills
Create supportive routines at home and school
Develop practical strategies for parents and educators
If you’re looking for ways to better support a neurodivergent child, you’re in the right place.
Neurodiversity-affirming Occupational therapy for school-aged children and the adults who support them to build understanding, confidence, and meaningful participation in everyday life.
Ongoing support or one-off consultations delivered in homes, schools, the community, and online, primarily across Perth’s inner eastern suburbs and western corridor.
Is Occupational Therapy the Right Fit for Your Child, Your Family, and Their School?
Neurodivergent children often experience the world in unique ways and may benefit from additional support to navigate learning, friendships and daily routines. With the right understanding and strategies, children can build confidence and skills they need to participate in everyday life.
At Nurtured Minds OT, I partner with families and schools to provide personalised, neurodiversity-affirming support.
